My Volition

My volition won’t let me down;

Through the obstacles and

The mirages of a bound success,

I stride on, I look back,

I am here now.

My volition will hold me, swing me,

Take me –

there yonder,

There where I ponder:

To sit, to be, to live.

My volition will shape me, mend me,

When I push too hard and break,

When I’m sore and despaired,

It will guide me back –

to my centre.

My volition can take that loss,

One dandelion may wither,

But the field is blooming;

Oh! How many chances I have –

But too many.
